The Walk of Fame is one of the must-see attractions in Los Angeles. This tourist attraction pays tribute to musicians, singers, actors, film directors, TV hosts and many other representatives of the entertainment industry. It has also been featured in numerous films, from Pretty Woman to Burlesque.

Where is the Walk of Fame?

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is in Los Angeles and stretches between Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. To see all of the stars you'll have to walk around 1.2 miles (2 kilometres)

History and types of stars

This Los Angeles icon was inaugurated in 1960. Since then, more than 2,700 stars have been placed on its sidewalks, recognizing different personalities in various categories, recognizable by the following symbols:

Fun facts

Some stars belong to cartoons, such as Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny. Also, the youngest singer to receive a star was Britney Spears, at the age of 21. There have been two presidents with stars: Ronald Reagan, for his career as an actor, and Donald Trump, for his television program, The Apprentice.
